Performance by Comedian Andy Evans
Andy Evans, a/k/a The Comedy Counselor, is a professional stand-up comedian,
author and award-winning playwright, who has been recognized by Bill Cosby for his
refreshingly “clean” and creative style of comedy. Andy writes for comedians Wanda Sykes
and Dick Gregory, and opens for recording greats Aretha Franklin and Earth Wind &
Fire. In 2009, AARP Magazine honored him as their “Mentor of the Year” for his lifelong
commitment to youth mentoring. His writings include: Take a Deep Breath!: The Comedy
Counselor's Guide to Stress Relief, “Clinton Comes to Harlem,” and CD, titled, “The Art of
Breathing.” Andy is currently performing his one man show, “Andy’s Run.”
